Photo Insertion…

Is another method to show your 3D model. For example…  a single family home builder wants to build a unique home in a specific area, but the community needs to see how it will look in that specific space. While it is possible to replicate an existing area around a new construction, it is often more realistic to insert the 3D model into a photo of the actual area. Taking several high quality pictures of the area - imagining the house in the picture - will allow us place the 3D model of the home into the picture. Generally the cost is no different that the cost of a typical rendering - but MAY be higher depending upon how much work is required to prepare the photo. Sometimes power lines have to be painted out or other items such as trees or cars.

What Exactly Do We Need?

First...  your floor plans with all measurements. Second, we’ll need direction from you as to what you want to show - different types of flooring, door and window types and types of trim - essentially everything you would provide a builder to create your interior. (We’ll provide you with a complete list.)  Third, you’ll need to gather all of this information together. That’s no small chore when you consider that we would need everything that a builder would require to “build” the space. And fourth…   several pictures of the site - again - imagining the house in the picture so there is enough room to place the 3D model and create a new render.

What Will You Receive?

Initially we will send you a proof of the render via email. You would use this to make sure the floor plan looks correct. At this point if there are any changes, we will make them and send you another proof via email. Proofs are generally sent as JPG files since they are easy to print out from your computer and review them. Final files are generally created in the TIF format for the best printing resolution. Once approved, we will upload it to a webpage specifically created for you where you can immediately download it. You can also provide the link to your printer where they can download it at any time.

What Is Your Turnarond Time For Photo Insertion?

Floor plans generally take several days. Depending upon the number of plans you have AND if we have all of the information we need - it can take a week or longer.
